Miss Parinvadee Chukaew (6537976), a Ph.D. student in Environmental Technology supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kamonwat Nakason, is conducting research on “Extraction of Lignin from Cassava Rhizome as Bioplastic Additive with Antibacterial and Antioxidant Properties.” This project is a collaboration with Dr. Zhanying Zhang at the School of Mechanical, Medical and Process Engineering, Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia, from 23 October 2025 to 20 April 2026.

Assistant Professor Dr. Sarawut Thepanondh is chosen as a member of the ad hoc group of experts to the Minamata convention on mercury secretariat by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Representing an expert from the Asia-Pacific region, he will work togerther with 11 representatives from other regions to work on evaluation of the effectiveness of the Convention. His tasks include the development of monitoring methodology, emission inventory and modeling of atmospheric mercury to be used under the Minamata Convention.
